What I’m reading now

Here’s some shocking news for you: I’m not just a writer, I’m a reader. I may be a bigger reader than I am a writer.

That certainly explains my rapidly draining bank account! I’m spending all my money on books!

Lately, I wanted to revisit the Final Fantasy 13 saga. I wasn’t a fan of the mainline game. I found the story deeply engaging, but the design of just walking to the next battle or cut scene got boring to me. So lately, I’ve been playing Lightning Returns, the third in the trilogy of Final Fantasy 13 games.

Why do I bring up video games in a post about reading? Well, dear reader, Square has released a trio of books based around the Final Fantasy 13 series. As I already loved the world, I jumped at the chance to read them. I won’t spoil anything…but these are exciting and touching books that further realize one of my favorite video game worlds.

I have to beat Final Fantasy 13-2 before I can adequately digest “Stories After.” The book tells how the side characters assisted the main characters through their journey through time. Though, I’ve played 13-2 before, I feel I need to play it again to reacquaint myself with the story. I wish they would release a book about Lighting!

I also read a beautifully written book about vampires by one of my favorite authors, Lisabet Sarai. The book is titled Fin D’Espoir and, brother, it is a pure work of art. The way Lisabet wrote the sex scenes, I can just imagine a master painter stroking a brush across the canvas.

And shout outs to erotica author Larry Archer. I’ve been going through his catalog and have been left turned on with almost every page. The girls in his story get fucked hard every moment and love every second of it. If you like total sluts, his work is for you!
