What I’m Reading Part 2!

Dacy Alex June 6, 2021 on reading erotica, light novel, lisabet sarai, re:Zero

To be a good writer, an author must read!

Who said that?

I said that! And since this is my blog I am the supreme ruler, and what I say is 100 percent facts 50 percent of the time!

So here’s what I’m reading!

Let us begin with The ReZero series! Wow! I was introduced to Re:Zero through the visual novel when the PC platform Steam recommended it to me. The funny thing was that the screenshots were so random and meaningless it didn’t look enticing at all.

But I love me some visual novels, so I quickly watched the opening moments on YouTube. Consider me impressed! I forked over my less-than-hard earned cash and welcomed Re:Zero to my libaray on my Switch.

My friends, I fell in love with the world in the first few seconds of playing. While I think Subaru should be crushing on Priscilla or Anastasia and not Emilia, I am very fond of his goofy resourcefulness. He has a certain practical bravery that endears him to me. He thinks he’s the man while still being aware of his fragility.

The light novels take through Suburau’s transition from a normal, unremarkable Japanese boy to a sudden outsider in a mysterious kingdom. The books are very imaginative, with unique twists and turns that kept me hooked. The dialogue is snappy and often hilarious. Even the antagonists are sort of loveable in their own charming way. I don’t say this often (or ever), but the book is just plain cute! Cute enough that I sip cold brew out a Ram mug as I type this.

I just finished a book whose name I can’t pronounce written by the exquisitely talented Lisabet Sarai. I love bad bitches, and that’s my fucking problem. And in  Rajasthani Moon Lisabet Sarai provided a bad bitch in Cecily Harrowsmith. Whoooo!  My friends, whoooo hooo!  I consider this book a hidden gem in Lisabet’s library. I may be biased because she’s my good friend, but Lisabet wrote a scorcher that I can barely describe. The situations Cecily found herself in consistently aroused me! If you like the damsel in distress routine as much I did this book will lead you to paradise!

There’s also a certain mystery and darkness that hangs over the world Lisabet created. The world has this strong sense of danger that hooked me from the first chapter, and never let me go.

What I’m reading now

Here’s some shocking news for you: I’m not just a writer, I’m a reader. I may be a bigger reader than I am a writer. That certainly explains my rapidly draining bank account! I’m spending all my money on books! Lately, I wanted to revisit the Final Fantasy 13 saga. I wasn’t a fan of […]

DA GOAT

I always tell people my favorite book is Animal Farm. When I’m asked to clean or do any manual labor I tell people I’m like the pigs of Animal Farm. I do the brain work. The book was expertly written, so hilarious and so rich in meaning that it easily became my favorite when I […]
